DrainMyPipe provides general drain triage and optional help seeking a local plumber.

Information you provide

The drain checker asks for fixture, symptoms, active hazards, whether multiple fixtures are reacting, and an optional description. It does not require location or contact information for a result. If you request plumber help, city or ZIP, email, and consent are required; name and phone are optional. If private report saving is available, you may choose to save a report with up to three photos. Saving is never automatic, and the checker shows when this feature is unavailable.

How information is used

Triage answers are used in your browser to generate a drain report. A plumber-help request is stored in Cloudflare D1 and may be reviewed to identify one plumber serving the requested market. Zoho Mail is used for operational notifications and email follow-up.

Storage

Personal information in the plumber-help queue is scheduled for deletion within 30 days. After deletion, anonymous market, urgency, status, and outcome totals may remain for product and partner-quality measurement. Operational email may also contain request details until it is removed under the mailbox retention process. When private report saving is available and you explicitly use it, reports and their photos are stored in Cloudflare D1 and a private Cloudflare R2 bucket for up to 30 days, and can be deleted earlier using the unlisted report link.

Product measurement

DrainMyPipe records limited product events such as starting or completing a drain check, copying a report, or submitting a routing request. Product events include page, fixture category, and urgency where relevant. They do not include name, email, phone, free-text problem descriptions, or city and ZIP values.

Plumber help

A city or ZIP is used to identify the requested area. Plumber-help review does not guarantee a match, response time, price, availability, or workmanship. A request is not sold to multiple plumbers during the pilot.

Security and abuse prevention

Cloudflare Turnstile, same-origin checks, request limits, duplicate suppression, and a hidden honeypot field are used to reduce automated abuse. Private operations pages require Cloudflare Access authentication.

Deletion requests

To request early deletion, email privacy@drainmypipe.com with the request reference or the email used for the plumber-help request.

After Dark

After Dark stores only a local browser flag confirming the 18+ gate. It does not collect birthdates, IDs, photos, or lead details.
